DOT REGION 1 TRAVEL ADVISORY NO. 1 ON TYPHOON ROSITA
AS OF 23:00 H 28 OCTOBER 2018
In view of the Severe Weather Bulletin No. 4 issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at 11:00 o’clock in the evening 28 October 2018, on Typhoon ROSITA, there is the possibility of hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Warning No. 2 over Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino and Aurora provinces tomorrow 29 October 2018 in the morning.
Very strong winds are expected to affect the eastern section of Northern and Central Luzon starting tomorrow 29 October 2018 in the evening. Moderate to heavy rains associated with the Typhoon is expected over Northern and Central Luzon starting tomorrow (29 October 2019) evening. Flooding and landslides are possible and travel by land is risky.
Travelers are advised to defer travel to Northwest Luzon in view of the impending Typhoon. For travelers in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, La Union and Pangasinan are advised to stay indoors. Prepare to stock on food, water and other provisions including medicine. Please charge your cellular phones and coordinate with the accommodation facility staff those in the area for emergency procedures. It is strongly advised to stay indoors and not to venture out especially in coastal and mountain areas.

The eye of Typhoon “Rosita is located based on all available data at 645 km East of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan moving West at 20 km/h (Pagasa SWB #4).
