The Department of Tourism in cooperation with the Local Government Unit of Manaoag is currently conducting an Effective Customer Service Work Attitude and Values Enhancement Seminar for all vendors of the Municipality of Manaoag at the Life in Christ Jesus International Ministries Seminar Hall. This program is designed to develop and sustain a tourism workforce capable of providing services of globally-competitive standards to visitors traveling to and from the locality. There will be two batches of participants for the said two-day seminar, one which is ongoing which runs until tomorrow and the next from May 24-25, 2018.

DOT Regional Director Martin S. Valera, ardently welcomed the vendor-participants to the seminar and urged them to show how industrious and productive they are by adopting what they will be learning from the said proceedings.

Mayor Kim Mikael G. Amador, for his part, enjoined the participants to think collectively and do their part for the development not only of their businesses but for Manaoag as well.

Approximately 4-5 million visitors and tourists a year flock to the Pilgrim Town of the North, according to Department of Tourism statistics.

The quality of products and services rendered is one the areas why this program is currently being established here in Manaoag, said LGU-Manaoag Tourism Officer Norylyn P. Tamayo-Ijiran, noting that this is the first seminar of its kind conducted in the Province of Pangasinan.

Evangeline M. Dadat, Senior Tourism Operations Officer of the DOT Regional Office, was key facilitator of the said enhancement seminar.
